Sean Murdoch (born 31 July 1986 in Edinburgh, Scotland) is a Scottish professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for English League Two side Accrington Stanley.

Murdoch started his career playing in the youth teams at Hearts. In 2003 he moved across the Forth to play for SPL rivals Dunfermline Athletic.
He then moved on loan for the 2005–06 season to Forfar Athletic in order to get some first team experience and moved on loan there again for the first half of the following season. In the second half of the 2006–07 season, he moved on loan to First Division team Hamilton Academical.
On the 6 May 2008, Murdoch signed for SPL side Hamilton, whom he had been on loan at earlier in his career.[1] [2]
On 28th July 2011 it was announced he had joined League Two club Accrington Stanley on a 1 year deal after a successful trial. He made his debut on the 6th August 2011 against Northampton Town FC.
